Draw No Bet Betting
Draw no bet basically means that the bookmaker will return your stake if the football event that you bet on ends in a draw. You do not lose any money. In addition, you get to win if the team that you have placed your Draw No Bet wager on wins, in a similar manner to a 1X2 bet.
Draw No Bet Betting is commonly used by punters who favor a particular team to win, but are a little skeptical about the match ending in a draw, and are convinced that the other team cannot win. It provides punters with a way to protect themselves from events that end up in a draw.
For instance, if Everton play Southampton, and you expect Everton to win, but also think that Southampton could put up a good fight causing the game to finish in a draw, you could place a Draw No Bet on Everton. This way, you win the bet if Everton beats Southampton, as expected. If the two teams draw, your money is returned. However, a Southampton win implies that you lose the bet, and your money.
Suggested betting sites for draw no bet betting
Not all online bookmakers provide bettors with the draw no bet option. In addition, the odds for this type of bet are usually lower than placing different, independent bets for a win and a draw. Let’s look at an example:
Say the 1X2 odds for Everton vs. Southampton are 2.6, 3.4 and 2.6, and the Draw No Bet Odds are 1.8 and 1.9 respectively, and you want to place a stake of £100. The following are the possible winnings:
• If you bet separately for a win and draw for the 1X2 market using the £100 stake, it basically means that you receive £100 if you bet 100/3.4 on the draw option. That is, you stake for the draw is £29.41, which makes the stake for an Everton win to be £70.69 (100-29.41).
• An Everton victory for a stake of £70.69 gives you (70.69*2.6) = £183.79.
• If you bet £100 on a Draw No bet market, your £100 will be refunded if the game draws. But if Everton wins, you receive (100*1.8) = £180.
This makes the winnings for placing separate bets more rewarding than a Draw No Bet, if your team wins. As such, you may need to do your calculations to determine the option that is more profitable: splitting your stake or placing a Draw No Bet.
