Beating Newcastle United may not be a big deal. The Magpies had run out of steam after the first half of the season. They are one of the poor performers of the league in recent times. They won 3-0 against Cardiff last week. It was their first win after six straight defeats.

After 11 straight wins, Liverpool have spent two weeks without a win. They would prefer to end the season with yet another enthralling performance, irrespective what happens in the Manchester City vs West Ham match. Their recent H2H record against Newcastle is good: six wins and two draws in the last ten games.

Liverpool will welcome back Jordan Henderson, who has been a good luck charm for the team. There are no injury worries to the squad. That means Newcastle will have to deal with one of the most explosive forward line-ups in Europe.
