Nigeria-Bosnia-Herzegovina preview - World Cup 2014

Nigeria-Bosnia-Herzegovina preview - World Cup 2014

Nigeria and Bosnia-Herzegovina clash with each other in what is a must-win game for both the teams. Nigeria now has one point from its opening draw against Iran. Bosnia failed to open its account, as they lost their match against Argentina.

Nigeria-Bosnia-Herzegovina Preview

While it appears outwardly that Nigeria is in a better position as of now, a closer look would suggest that they are in deeper trouble. Their remaining match is against Argentina, a game in which they hardly fancy a win. Bosnia has a relatively easier game against Iran at hand. A draw would suit them, while Nigeria has no other way they than going all out for a win.

Nigeria was lacklustre in the opening game. Their forwards were easily subdued by Iran’s determined defending. Bosnia will offer a sterner test than did Iran. They impressed everybody with their technically sound game, in spite of the defeat against Argentina.

Nigeria will be looking forward to gain an early lead, which would allow them to control the pace of the game. Bosnia, once bitten, will do everything to prevent an early goal against it.

Players

Vedad Ibisevic who scored against Argentina is likely to start. That will make the Bosnian attack, which will also comprise Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic, a formidable one.

The Nigerian fans will hope that Emmanuel Emenike will be at his imposing best against Bosnia. He was totally off-colour against Iran.

Nigeria-Bosnia-Herzegovina Prediction

None of the teams can afford a loss in this match. A draw is a likely result.
