The Real Madrid players will be feeling like professional jugglers who have to catch all the balls that come down. They earned a hard-fought 1-0 win at home against Bayern Munich in the first leg of Champions League semi final. The second leg is scheduled on this Tuesday. But before that, they have an appointment with Osasuna on this Saturday. Real Madrid must win this game too, if they want to keep their La Liga ambitions intact.

Normally, this fixture should not pose many problems for Real. They have lost only two games against Osasuna in the entire last decade. It has been a bit more than a decade since Osasuna won at Santiago Bernabéu.

However, they will crave for a win this time around. There are two reasons.

First, they are just three points away from relegation zone. With just four matches remaining, they would want to get away from that position as quickly as possible.

Second, Real Madrid is likely to field a slightly weakened team ahead of its trip to Munich. Osasuna may not a get another chance to face a more depleted Real outfit.

Having said that, Real cannot afford to field a real second-string team. They trail Atletico Madrid by six points, with a game in hand, in the La Liga. They will have to win all their remaining five matches to stand in Lady luck’s way.

Cristiano Ronaldo will play, but Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale are likely to be rested. Osasuna has no major injury scares. They will hope that their prolific striker Oriol Riera Magem will strike it rich against the Madrid powerhouse.
