This is the safest match for betting on my opinion. The hosts need a win and have a quality to achieve that. The visiting team have lost all their hopes of continuing their Champions League campaign and should better look how to improve their domestic league standings.

Shakhtar Donetsk are playing very well in the Ukrainian league. They got us used to that in the previous seasons, but this year the Premier League is a much tougher competition than before. With Chornomorets, Dynamo, Dnipro and others set their minds on the title, Shakhtar won’t have an easy job keeping the Ukrainian trophy in their possession. However, that doesn’t seem to bother them. Shakhtar will do their best to improve their score in the Champions League and one good chance for that comes this Wednesday against Real Sociedad.

Real Sociedad don’t have much to hope for in the Champions League. They are doing well in Primera and it seems a good placement on that table is their primary goal now. They would need to win both games in the group A to qualify for UEFA Europa League. I think they are aware of their capabilities and will not put too much of an effort against highly motivated Shakhtar.
